That brought up another thought...

The boat is for disciples...

Walking on the surfac of water... that's for followers of Jesus... there is a big difference..!

if you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat…

Yeah man... that's what I'm talking about... its scary though.. but Peter is the only human being other than Jesus who could say he walked on water too...

It takes faith... not in the boat...thats the easy road, but in the one who says, "come on out", and then the faith to trust him and go!

I try my hardest to jump in and help, even though I have alwasy taken the lead in other areas of my life I am just a servant and go whereever I am needed. I am not sure if that is good or bad but it feel right for now. If every would just give up an hour a week and serve someone other than themselves the worls would be a different place
I wouldn't want to row with my wife either

Shell Silverstein had a poem that goes like this...

Homemade Boat

The boat that we just built is fine -

and don’t try to tell us its not.

The sides and the back are divine -

Its the bottom I guess we forgot.

I see tons of people rowing... maybe the boats the problem... but that whole "don't try to tell us its not" thing is in effect...

Thats why so many prophets got stoned to death... they kept trying to tell em'...
